Brief Introduction of the Company

Sino-Wisdom Culture Development Co., Ltd. (Sino-Wisdom Company for short) was founded in 2003, which is a platform for continuing education for enterprises, on the basis of the brand “Nan Cheng De Advisory Education Institution” created by a Canadian Chinese in 1995. Oriented for the needs of entrepreneurs and senior managers, this platform is to provide lessons of Master of Business Administration (MBA) and to seek to become the best provider for international MBA education in China.

With integration of excellent education resources in China and overseas, Sino-Wisdom Company not only establishes domestical cooperation relationship with Tsinghua University,Beijing University and Renmin University of China, etc., but also with Oxford University in UK and the California State University on the study tour projects. Furthermore,on the basis of teaching experience accumulation, Sino-Wisdom Company combines the up-to-date management philosophy with the development experience of China’s enterprises and will continuously develop new educational products and projects. The marketing promotion model of Sino-Wisdom Company, deriving from succession and innovation of the successful model of Nan Cheng De Advisory Education Institution, is the combination of telemarketing, conference marketing and face-to-face marketing. With the close connection between local teaching divisions and students and quasi students, Sino-Wisdom Company exactly perceives the students’ needs on learning and the enterprises’needs on development, to provide marketing basis for education service. Sino-Wisdom Company introduces the philosophy of education service to the large economic development zones in China, and has established 11 teaching divisions in Yangtze River Delta,Pearl River Delta and other inland areas. At present, up to 5,000 senior managers have already become students of Sino-Wisdom Company, and each year 1,500 new students of senior managers will be recruited.

Introduction of Teaching System

I. Source of Students

What Sino-Wisdom Company constructs is a structural knowledge system, whose core is 10 theory courses from Continuing Education School of Tsinghua University and 5 specially designed practice courses. These courses appeal to many enterprises and senior managers, who subsequently enroll to learn them one after another. With extensive and stable recruiting channels, and establishment of the 11 teaching divisions, Sino-Wisdom Company can guarantee its source of students and teaching quality. At present, 1,500 new students of senior managers are recruited each year.

However, concerning the existing projects, only the Certificate of Completion is available for the president class of business administration provided by the Continuing Education School of Tsinghua University. This cannot satisfy the needs for diploma, so affecting the quantity of student source. Now Sino-Wisdom Company is developing an MBA diploma project so as to satisfy this need. If the project is successful, it will provide half of students with diploma. That is, Sino-Wisdom Company can provide about 750 students with MBA diploma each year.

II. Teaching

1. Resources Integration

The founder of Sino-Wisdom Company, Mr. Liu Jiannan (PhD), has abundant experience in enterprise management, management consultation and education. Depending upon his perspectives of Chinese and western education, and in terms of China’s history and reality, he proposes that the education service can be dedicated to cultivation of entrepreneurs and management staff, to provide the opportunity on learning actual business management.

Presently Sino-Wisdom Company not only establishes domestic cooperation relationship with Tsinghua University, Beijing University and Renmin University of China, etc., but also with Oxford University in UK and the California State University on the study tour projects. These courses are widely accepted, due to the combination of management knowledge and experience and reality of Chinese enterprises, and the service-centered education model of structural knowledge system.

Sino-Wisdom Company has hired over 60 teachers, who belong to MBA or EMBA team in Tsinghua Univesity, Beijing University and Renmin University of China. 80% of them hold doctorates, 20% of them hold master's degrees, and they all possess over 15 years of teaching experience. They are outstanding not only in aspect of academic research, but also understand up-to-date management philosophy. Besides teaching in universities, they are involved with subject research on enterprise management, case development and project consultation, etc. Furthermore, they have been keeping close connection with enterprises.

Sino-Wisdom Company owns its teaching sites and dedicated classrooms rent for long term as well. The classrooms are equipped with modern teaching hardware, such as computers, projectors, and high-quality audio video equipments, etc. In addition, it provides cocurriculum one time per month, to satisfy the needs of new knowledge and to guarantee students’ follow-up learning.

2. Teaching Model

Sino-Wisdom Company adopts the teaching model of EMBA, with combination of training, teaching and practice, to cultivate enterprise’s managers in all dimensions.
1) Outward Bound Training Outward bound training is to first set specific tasks and rules and take advantage of dangerous and difficult environment in the nature; then pose a real challenge to students on emotion, physical ability, intelligence and social intercourse. Its target is to chasten one’s mind, cultivate one’s taste, improve oneself and build team spirit.
2) Modern Management Theory The MBA courses are advanced and practical, with integration of marketing, finance, international commerce, human resources, logistics and management, etc.
3) Interactive and Experiential Learning Interactive and Experiential Learning contains case study and discussion, combining theory and practice, to invoke discussion and interaction between professors and students.

◆On-the-Spot Investigation

On-the-spot investigation is to arrange the students to join study tours overseas, or investigate in famous enterprises in China or abroad, or visit enterprises of students, to know more management models and successful experience and promote development of enterprises all together.

◆Appraisal System

The appraisal system requires students to finish homework in terms of criteria, and then obtain credit points accordingly. This system can urge students to grasp knowledge and put to use flexibly.

In order to improve teaching quality, the teacher in charge of the class asks students to evaluate the teacher, course content and teaching activities after each lesson. The teaching evaluation is carried out via questionnaire survey, and the opinions are summed up and improvement is done within a week, thus ensuring the teaching service quality and students’satisfaction.

III. Projects

Sino-Wisdom Company not only commits itself to cooperative projects with famous universities in China or abroad, but also invests in research and development of proprietary projects. At present, Sino-Wisdom Company has already had a couple of MBA course projects, and has combined them together to make up the simplicity of single projects, for the purpose of improving teaching effect.

 The project “International EMBA President Seminar” is co-developed by Sino-Wisdom Company and Continuing Education School of Tsinghua University. Tsinghua University is a world-class university, and is the higher educational institution, where many Chinese people want to learn knowledge. Guided by the school motto of Self-discipline and Social Commitment, this project not only satisfies the needs on development of Chinese enterprises, but also inherits the tenacity spirit of the Chinese People and culture of China.

 The project of “Oxford University Mansfield EMBA Training” is held by Sino-Wisdom Company and Mansfield School of Oxford University. The project is specially designed to help CEO gain global perspective in pursuit of sustainable operation and life long learning. It is a short-term advanced learning project, an integration of learning EMBA management course, investigating top enterprises in the world and sightseeing folk customs of UK.

 The project “Modern Enterprise Development Strategy and Brand Management” is held by Sino-Wisdom Company and the California State University, Domingos Mount in USA. On the basis of investigation since 1996, the project was established in July, 2002. This is a customized training project for Chinese enterprises, combining practical situation of Chinese enterprises and needs of entrepreneurs, and with the help of prominent faculty of the California State University and close collaboration between American government and excellent enterprises.

 The project “International MBA Leadership Series” is an in-house development of Sino-Wisdom Company, based on its own teaching experience and market needs. The project adopts “Team Learning Method”, as well as teaching means, such as learning business administration theory, training skills and application fusion, to cultivate and educate students on creative philosophy and leadership in aspects of personal leadership, team leadership and organization leadership.
